LPN – Long-Term Care (LTC) & Medical–Surgical Contracts
Kamloops | Kelowna | Penticton | Vernon | Clearwater, BC
Summary
We are seeking committed and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses for contract opportunities across multiple Long-Term Care and Medical–Surgical units in the Interior BC region. In these roles, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, perform essential clinical duties, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support recovery, safety, and well-being.
Responsibilities
Long-Term Care (LTC)
- Deliver resident-focused care, including personal care support and clinical tasks
- Administer medications safely and document accurately
- Monitor residents' health status and report changes promptly
- Support restorative and mobility programs
- Foster a safe, respectful, and home-like environment
- Collaborate with RNs, HCAs, physicians, and allied health teams
Medical–Surgical (Med-Surg)
- Provide direct patient care in acute and post-operative settings
- Perform assessments, vital signs, wound care, and ongoing monitoring
- Assist with mobility, ADLs, and care plans
- Administer medications and IV therapies (as per BCCNM scope)
- Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain safety and infection-control standards

Compensation:
Competitive hourly pay based on experience & site
Shifts:
Days, evenings, nights — 8-hour & 12-hour rotations
Environment:

Requirements – What You'll Bring
1+ year recent experience as an LPN (LTC, Med-Surg, or acute care preferred)
Current
BCCNM LPN registration
in good standing
Valid
BLS / CPR certification
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Ability to work independently and within collaborative teams
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments
