Are you a detail-driven accounting professional who thrives on accuracy, analysis, and making numbers tell a story? Our client is looking for a 
Senior Accountant
 to join their Finance team and take ownership of day-to-day accounting and reporting for two dynamic divisions.

Reporting to the 
Director, Finance
, you'll play a key role in monthly and annual close processes — preparing financial statements, reconciling complex accounts, and providing insight into financial performance. If you're organized, analytical, and love bringing clarity to complexity, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, schedules, and year-end working papers
  • Analyze results and explain budget-to-actual variances
  • Reconcile claims loss reports, benefits invoicing, and investment transactions
  • Support insurance and benefits accounting, including year-end reporting for actuaries and auditors
  • Provide backup support across the Finance team

What You Bring

  • CPA designation (or working toward it)
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including financial statement prep and reconciliations
  • Solid grasp of 
    GAAP
     and 
    IFRS
  • High integrity, strong problem-solving skills, and impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
