Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Events Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute events that elevate our brand, support business objectives, and strengthen our connection to the western lifestyle community. This role manages the full event lifecycle—from concept development through execution and post-event evaluation—ensuring each experience is delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the western retail and lifestyle space, paired with the operational and financial skills required to drive audience segmentation, brand engagement, and measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a variety of events, including retail activations, corporate functions, trade shows, product launches, and community events.
  • Develop event concepts, timelines, budgets, and workback schedules aligned with brand and commercial objectives.
  • Source, manage, and evaluate vendors such as venues, caterers, audiovisual providers, décor partners, and entertainment.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure adherence to company policies and applicable legislation.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including registrations, guest lists, travel arrangements, accommodations, and on-site execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, retail, sales, and leadership) to ensure events support business and brand goals.
  • Support event marketing and promotional initiatives in partnership with the marketing team.
  • Recruit, schedule, and oversee event staff, contractors, and volunteers, as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements at all events.
  • Track budgets and expenses, monitor event performance, and prepare post-event reports.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, attendee experience, and return on investment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Post-secondary education in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in event planning or event management, preferably within a retail, lifestyle, or brand-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency with event management platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and brand-focused.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to take initiative, identify opportunities, and adapt in a fast-paced, retail-focused environment.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Working Conditions
