Our client, a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier, is looking for an experienced AP/AR Specialist to join their team in New Market Ontario.

This position is a full time, on location 5 days / week position with a base salary of $55,000-$60,000/yr.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and customers
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records and update customer files
  • Conduct account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner.
  • Review past due accounts and follow-up with customers
  • Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and provide financial insights.
  • Maintain organized records of all financial transactions for easy retrieval.
  • Answer, investigate, and escalate as necessary, customer and vendor inquiries

Experience:

  • A Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-3 years general accounting experience, with a heavy focus on AP/AR
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian GAAP
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite knowledge, specifically with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups, complex formulas and functions)
  • Epicor or related ERP experience
