Overview

Safety RE is growing and as such we are seeking dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Professionals to join our team. This role is vital in fostering a safe and compliant work environment, particularly within construction, renewables, oil and gas, and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in safety management, with a focus on training and development, hands-on ability to monitor the site for optimum safety, and to promote best practices across all levels of the organization. Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures tailored to site specific operations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and enforce corrective actions.
  • Lead safety training sessions and workshops for employees at all levels, emphasizing best practices and compliance standards.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, or near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventative measures.
  • Collaborate with management to integrate safety considerations into operational processes and project planning.
  • Stay current with OSHA regulations and industry safety standards, ensuring organizational compliance.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness through ongoing communication, signage, and engagement initiatives.
  • Be hands-on in terms of daily site safety inspections

Skills

  • Proven experience in various environments including Construction, Renewables, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing etc as dependent on the industry and site with a strong understanding of industry-specific safety challenges.
  • Expertise in developing and delivering effective training & development programs related to workplace safety.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety policies and foster employee engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills for conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
  • Ability to lead by example, motivate teams, and influence positive safety behaviors across the organization.
  • Certification in occupational health and safety (such as CSP or OSHA certifications) is preferred but not mandatory. This position is integral to maintaining a safe workplace where employees can perform their duties confidently while adhering to regulatory standards. The Safety Professional will play a key role in shaping our safety culture through proactive leadership, comprehensive training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $45.00-$75.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
