We're looking for a Service Writer to join our dynamic Service team Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Writer plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the department through administrative precision, coordination, and exceptional customer service.

This is a vital position for keeping our service processes running smoothly—ensuring that customers receive top-tier service, work orders are processed efficiently, and administrative functions are completed with accuracy and care. What You'll Do (A Day in the Life):

• Prepare work orders for Service Manager review and approval.
• Support daily administrative functions for field, shop, internal, and warranty work.
• Help improve service operations and customer experience by streamlining workflows.
• Assist with technician dispatch in the absence of the Service Manager.
• Answer incoming calls to the Service Department and assist customers professionally.
• Enter technician time and job stories onto work orders.
• Ensure accurate coding for purchases and expenses; submit for approval and processing.
• Process technician expenses and prepare payroll entries for manager review.
• File and manage warranty claims for OEMs.
• Maintain service department filing systems and records.
• Monitor Work In Progress (WIP) and assist in achieving WIP targets.
• Close work orders upon authorization from the Service Manager/Supervisor.
• Perform additional duties or projects as assigned.

What You Bring:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in time management and task prioritization.
• Comfortable with customer service, both over the phone and in-person.
• Solid understanding of financials and ability to assist with account issues.
• Effective multitasking under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in service, repair shop, dealership, or equipment industry is an asset.
