Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dump truck. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Duties

  • Operate a dump truck to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and construction debris.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload materials efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities and types of materials transported.
  • Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the dump truck, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with dump trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
  • Proficient in heavy equipment operation, including knowledge of loading and unloading procedures.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus for assisting with material handling on job sites.
  • Basic automotive repair skills to perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety regulations at all times.
