About the Role:

Mozy's is seeking a highly skilled and professional Cashier/Front Counter Team Member to join our opening team. This is a key front-of-house position that requires exceptional poise, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of hospitality according to Mozy's high standard of guest experience. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you set the tone for their entire experience — your role is essential to our success. Our menu will be small, curated, and deliberately designed for what it offers, and requires a deep knowledge of it in order to demonstrate an accurate and concise presentation to our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an outstanding guest experience with genuine warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism
  • Handle a high volume of orders calmly and efficiently while maintaining a graceful, pleasant presence under pressure
  • Accurately process cash, debit, and credit transactions with integrity and attention to detail
  • Thoroughly know the menu and all of its intricacies — from ingredients and preparation to modifications and pairings
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with the kitchen and service teams
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and polished front counter and guest area at all times
  • Anticipate guest needs and handle any issues with tact and composure
  • Support teammates during peak hours and assist with restocking, opening, and closing duties

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a cashier or front counter team member required (preferably in a fast-paced or high-standard restaurant/QSR)
  • A refined understanding of hospitality and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent numeracy and POS proficiency
  • Professional appearance and punctual, dependable work habits
  • Must have reliable transportation and easy commute to M6K 1X9
  • Food Safe, SafeCheck, or Food Handler Certification an asset
