We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Political Affairs Officer to join our team. This role involves engaging with political stakeholders, analyzing policy developments, and supporting advocacy efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, research capabilities, and the ability to effectively represent our organization's interests. Duties

  • Develop and implement strategies for political engagement and advocacy initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and policy developments relevant to our organization's mission.
  • Prepare detailed reports, briefing documents, and position papers on key political issues.
  • Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and public forums with excellent public speaking skills.
  • Conduct research on political trends, public opinion, and stakeholder interests to inform strategic decisions.
  • Proofread and review communications materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to craft compelling messages for various audiences.
  • Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, government officials, and community leaders.
  • Support outreach campaigns through effective communication strategies and writing skills.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in political affairs, public policy, or related fields.
  • Excellent public speaking abilities with confidence in engaging diverse audiences.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights.
  • Exceptional writing skills for preparing reports, briefs, and correspondence.
  • Effective proofreading skills to ensure high-quality communication materials.
  • Background in marketing or strategic communication is a plus.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Communications, or a related discipline; advanced degrees are preferred. This role is integral to advancing our organization's objectives through strategic political engagement and effective communication.
