Fleet Coordinator

The RS Josef Group is looking for a Fleet Maintenance Manager that would be responsible for the following:

Truck & Equipment Management

· Managing the maintenance schedules of approximately 20 vehicles, DZ straight trucks, crane trucks and bulk propane trucks in the fleet.

· The candidate must have extensive knowledge of 3-ton, 5-ton double axle, DZ/air brake delivery vehicles and the experience to assist the driver to identify issues to coordinate a timely repair with an appropriate vendor. Drivers will report directly to the Fleet Manager when there is an issue or question with a vehicle.

The candidate will be responsible for the commissioning and de-commissioning of vehicles. This entails making sure the required equipment, like, 407 transponder, GETAB fob, in cab cameras, rear view cameras, are added, or removed accordingly. Decommissioned trucks typically are sent to auction; the candidate will be responsible for arranging all of the details and coordinating with insurance when trucks are added or removed from the fleet.

Paperwork Training and Collection

· The candidate is responsible to ensure that drivers are trained on the necessary documents/paperwork to operate our vehicles and that the drivers are completing the paperwork properly at the end of each day. This includes, TDG, E logs, and delivery slips.

The candidate must be experienced with the operation of Geotab entries/usage, electronic logs, daily pre trip inspections, and daily post trip inspections and GEOtabs reports.

Required Experience

· Although a current DZ/AZ license is not required - it is helpful.

The candidate MUST have at least 3 years experience and managing a fleet of DZ vehicles.

Safety Compliance of Personnel

· The candidate will assist in investigating Near Misses, incidents, injuries, WSIB claims, accidents when a vehicle or driver is involved.

· The candidate will assist in training, creating, and reinforcing RS Josef Groups SOP's that relate to the vehicles and any equipment that is being used by the drivers.

Safety Compliance of Fleet

· The candidate is responsible for ensuring all regular maintenance, ie annual inspections, recertifications, licensing, insurance, etc is completed in a timely manner for all vehicles.

· The candidate will be the main liaison between drivers and mechanics, insurance, suppliers, inspectors, etc.

· The candidate will be responsible to present the findings of the inspections/maintenance issues and may be required to find multiple and cost-efficient solutions to any problems to the company owners.
