The Maintenance Technician is responsible for daily machine repairs and proper corrective actions. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Education Post-Secondary Education in Electrical or Mechanical related courses; and Technical Trades Training / Licensed Millwright (433a) with Canadian Apprenticeship preferred. Years of Experience 3+ Years of Maintenance Experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Working Conditions Work may involve some exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and loud noises;On site environment involves some exposure to hazards of physical risks that require knowledge of and adherence to basic safety procedures and precautions; andWork environment requires wearing PPE. Job Specific Duties Responsible for all building maintenance; Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, contractors, motor starters etc., as needed; Perform work order repairs, inspection, adjustments and calibrations; Use exceptional problem-solving skills to make quick and effective decisions; Able to design and fabricate small repair parts; Responsible for preventative and predictive maintenance activities on weekly and daily work; Maintain and update Down-Time Tracker and predictive and preventative maintenance schedule; Notify Production of extended repairs or downtime; Provide solutions to technical problems and recommendations for improvements in productive activities; Proactively maintain a safe working environment focused on prevention and ensuring continued compliance with Occupation Health and Safety legislation; and Any other tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager.  Interested in learning about State's perks and benefits?
