The Capital Markets roadmap aims to support the growth of the Capital Markets team through critical technological and operational investments that will enable it to achieve its business ambitions. The goal of this modernization is to invest in processes, technology and data. The technological component will significantly enhance application ecosystems, including solutions for transactions, analytics, business intelligence, data distribution and customer relationship management (CRM). As part of the modernization, we're hiring many experts to help us build the necessary expertise. As a capital markets functional analyst, you stand out for your leadership skills and your ease communicating both summaries and analysis for IT and business professionals. You should be equally interested in both functional analysis and quality assurance. Our team actively contributes to the development and growth of systems used in the Capital Markets Department at Desjardins, particularly for foreign exchange contracts and everything that affects the applications related to fixed income products. Our day-to-day work is full of challenges, both on a technical level and as we work to adopt a DevOps culture, one where practices and processes are automated and optimized to the fullest. If this type of challenge intrigues you, we'd love to have you on board More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Help the squad define its needs and prepare stories, and help determine the correct functional solution based on priorities and delivery times.

  • Analyze and document requests. Identify alternatives, make recommendations and produce and update execution and production files.

  • Coordinate project teams by analyzing components and coordinating collaborator contributions.

  • Work with the product owner and project team to define functional specifications and exceptions.

  • Cocreate with business partners to define needs and manage backlogs.

  • Define and run automated and/or manual tests within your scope (specific cases/exceptions).

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Experience in searching databases for analysis purposes (SQL Server, Db2, Oracle)

  • Experience in foreign exchange contracts (FXSentry) and fixed income products

  • Knowledge of French is required

  • Knowledge of the agile approach

  • Knowledge of MSSQL databases

  • Knowledge of the banking business sector
