Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement end-to-end data architecture, including data models, data pipelines, integration layers, and storage solutions.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms across cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Define enterprise data standards, governance frameworks, metadata models, and data lifecycle policies.
  • Architect data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse solutions using modern technologies such as Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or BigQuery.
  • Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, BI teams, and application teams to align architecture with organizational needs.
  • Lead the modernization of legacy data systems into cloud-native architectures.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory, DataBricks, Airflow, Informatica, or Talend.
  • Oversee data quality, data lineage, data cataloging, and MDM (Master Data Management) initiatives.
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with standards (PII, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
  • Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and best practices for data engineering teams.
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend adoption for enterprise data strategies.
  • Create documentation, architectural blueprints, and governance standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex data issues and ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of data systems.
