Ironwood Management Ltd. operates in multiple aspects of real estate and financial services, including asset management, property management, development, mortgage lending, mortgage origination, and mortgage servicing.

Role Description

The Mortgage Portfolio Analyst will provide support to the mortgage lending and loan administration business of Ironwood. The successful candidate will be involved in evaluating loan requests, conducting review of due diligence material, documenting and ensuring compliance, processing loan funding and construction draws, prepare loan renewals, correspond with borrowers on missed payments, and ensure the mortgage portfolio is in good standing. The position may require the successful candidate to assist others in the asset management, real estate management and development side of the business.

The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. This is a full-time, on-site role based in our Edmonton, AB office.

Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in
    Finance, Business, Economics, or related equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years of mortgage underwriting, loan administration or banking experience
  • Experience in the real estate, construction, private lending or banking sector is highly advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of loan documentation and funding procedures is an asset
  • Strong analytical and financial Skills
  • Strong ability to work in a fast paced environment, manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Ability to work independent and within teams
  • Strong work ethic
  • Be proactive and self-motivated
  • Be detailed oriented and have strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, loan portfolio analysis and familiarity with mortgage/loan software is an asset
