We are fortunate enough to have a high growth investment management practice and we need an experienced Operations Analyst to join our team. This is a rare career position in Edmonton. The person we are looking for will have a profound impact, working to ensure the accuracy of our data, the efficiency of our operations, and safekeeping of our clients' life savings.

Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Operations Analyst with a background in the Canadian financial services industry to play a crucial role in our business. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in fast-paced, technology-focused firms with experience in a middle-office or back-office environment.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the Front Office team in daily business workflows such as onboarding, annual profile updates & client money transfer requests.
Maintaining internal business system information to support the client relationship (Portfolio Management System, Client Portal, CRM, digital onboarding & electronic signature processing).
Supporting the ongoing business activities of the firm such as account reconciliation, performance validation, issuance of client statements & tax reports, collection of management fees and client events.
Collaborate with front office, mid-office and back-office teams to resolve discrepancies and implement process improvements.
Provide support in the development and enhancement of operational processes and business systems (such as software testing).
Proactively provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in all business operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working at an investment mid-office or back office operation within the Canadian financial industry.
- Experience working within leading industry software environments such as Salesforce (FSC), digital onboarding & e-signature (such as Adobe sign or Docusign) and Enterprise Wealth Management Platforms (such as d1g1t, Envestnet, Advent APX or Ndex) is desirable.
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) certification is advantageous.
- Formal education in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field is advantageous.
- Background or experience in Canadian tax is highly desirable.
- Background or experience in business systems analytics is advantageous.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in all core applications of the Microsoft Office Suite with high-level competence in Excel (e.g., PivotTable, VBA, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
