Dhitek is recruiting a
Senior Exchange Administrator
to support enterprise-level email, messaging, and collaboration services for the
Government of Alberta
. This role focuses on
Exchange 2016/2019
, enterprise email security, Microsoft Teams / Skype for Business support, and large-scale Microsoft architecture administration.

This position requires
deep technical expertise
, experience in complex government or enterprise environments, and the ability to work during scheduled change windows (evenings/weekends as needed).


Scope of Services

The Senior Exchange Administrator will be responsible for:

Exchange & Email Infrastructure


• Designing, planning, implementing, and supporting
Exchange 2016/2019
environments


• Performing upgrades, migrations, patch management, and Exchange DAG operations


• Managing mailbox databases, mail flow, retention policies, and transport rules

Email Security & Threat Protection


• Supporting anti-spam, anti-phishing, and email security services


• Troubleshooting secure mail delivery, quarantine, bulk mail, and transport issues


• Working with enterprise-level security tools and compliance frameworks

Microsoft Collaboration Tools


• Supporting
Skype for Business
and
Microsoft Teams
in large enterprise environments


• Managing Teams policies, channels, conferencing, voice configurations, and coexistence modes

Active Directory & Microsoft Architecture


• Supporting Microsoft architecture, installation, and administration


• Managing identity, authentication, and access policies


• Performing access management activities for Microsoft 365 tenants

Operational Activities


• Participating in change windows, including evenings/weekends


• Logging and documenting changes, incidents, and service requests


• Ensuring system availability and performance within SLAs


• Working with cross-functional technical teams, security, and business units

Education

Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Math, or Engineering (or equivalent)

Technical Experience (Mandatory)

– Designing, planning, implementing & supporting
Exchange 2016/2019

– Supporting email security solutions (anti-spam, anti-phishing, malware protection)

– Supporting
Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams
(enterprise)

– Microsoft architecture, installation, and administration in enterprise environments

Work Schedule

Ability to work evenings/weekends during change windows (as required)

Ability to work onsite in Edmonton
