Job Overview

This job is primarily in the Calgary area. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician with Fire Alarm experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both commercial and industrial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in various fire and safety systems. This role involves working on throughout Calgary, and ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire and safety systems while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair fire and safety equipment, and fixtures in accordance with NFPA standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
  • Knowledge of NFPA regulations and safety standards related to fire and safety systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
