Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role provides vital support to licensed physiotherapists in delivering patient-centered care within a hospital or clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients recover and improve their mobility, along with relevant healthcare experience. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on patient rehabilitation and recovery.

Duties

  • Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
  • Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use
  • Support patients during therapy sessions, including guiding exercises and ensuring proper technique
  • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any concerns or notable changes to the supervising physiotherapist
  • Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments administered and patient responses in accordance with hospital protocols
  • Provide exceptional patient care by demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to physical therapy and rehabilitation
  • Experience with patient care, including assisting individuals with mobility challenges
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Certification or training as a Physiotherapy Assistant or related healthcare qualification is preferred
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
