Summary

We are seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team in Newcastle. This vital role involves supporting physiotherapists in delivering exceptional patient care and rehabilitation services as well as assisting in administrative duties at the front desk. Experience in customer service an asset and candidates need to work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physiotherapists with patient care when required.
  • Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
  • Maintain a tidy, clean work environment incuding daily laundry.
  • Receive patients at desk, accept payments and schedule in our EMR.
  • Answer calls when needed and record necessary information.
  • Provide excellent patient care with empathy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize patient outcomes and ensure an overall positive experience at the clinic.

Qualifications

  • Prior hospital or outpatient clinic experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of acute care practices is essential.
  • Strong commitment to patient care and support.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Certification or training in physiotherapy assistance is a plus.
  • Computer skills ie Word, Excel is strongly recommended
