Position: Litigation Assistant

Location: Fredericton, NB

What You'll Do:

  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring that all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
  • Draft and file court documents, including pleadings, affidavits, motions and discovery requests.
  • Coordinate and schedule discoveries, hearings, and meetings.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurance adjusters and the court as needed.
  • Perform legal research and ensure all case deadlines are met.
  • Provide administrative support, including managing correspondence and maintaining office organization.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of litigation processes and legal terminology.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a legal or administrative support role preferred.
