Insurance Defence Legal Assistant

We have new openings for two (2) Insurance Defence Legal Assistants. The successful candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in both Accident Benefits and Tort. Salary will be commensurate with your years of experience.
We are located in Etobicoke within walking distance to the Kipling GO and Subway Station.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- handling both Accident Benefit and Tort files
scheduling Examinations for Discovery, mediations, motions, LAT Case Conferences, EUOs
dictation
drafting correspondence, pleadings, motions, notices of examination
maintaining lawyer's daily calendar
The interested candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:
Must have at least 3 years experience working in personal injury litigation - both Accident Benefits and Tort.
Sound knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure, court practices and LAT
Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision
Adaptive and willing to learn
Excellent written and communication skills
Confident and dependable
Strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
Strong Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
