Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment while adhering to food safety standards. Your expertise in cooking and food preparation will contribute to our restaurant's success and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and cooking ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety practices, and meal preparation
- Familiarity with various kitchen equipment and tools used in food service
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
