About The Role
Our Client is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Specialist to support the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (OPGT) in building a new Azure-based data warehouse/lakehouse and delivering the Reporting MVP. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned BI professional experienced in Power BI, Dynamics 365 CE/F&O, Azure data engineering, and modern data warehousing.

Key Responsibilities
Data Warehouse / Lakehouse Development

  • Design an Azure-based data warehouse/lakehouse and "golden layer"
  • Integrate and model data from Dynamics 365 CE and F&O
  • Develop and automate ETL pipelines across bronze/silver/gold layers
  • Build logical and physical data models aligned with reporting needs

Reporting & Analytics

  • Deliver the Reporting MVP through high-quality Power BI dashboards
  • Use DAX, Power Query, and gateway configurations to build interactive visuals
  • Optimize data models, performance, and data refresh processes

Data Governance & Security

  • Implement required security controls for sensitive government data
  • Ensure data quality, compliance, and alignment with OPS standards

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with data engineers, analysts, project managers, and stakeholders
  • Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and DevOps updates
  • Meet milestones, escalate risks, and follow OPS I&IT directives

Mandatory Skills

  • Expert-level Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query, gateways)
  • Hands-on reporting experience with Dynamics 365 CE and/or F&O
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing/lakehouse concepts, ETL, modeling, and governance
  • Excellent SQL skills (T-SQL, PL/SQL) and performance tuning
  • Experience with Azure (ADF, Synapse, Azure SQL, DevOps)

Nice-to-Have

  • Azure certifications (Azure Fundamentals, Power BI Data Analyst Associate)
  • Experience with PowerApps, Power Automate, Dataverse
  • Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, data modeling tools, and version control (Azure Repos)
