Research & Business Intelligence Specialist

We're looking for a skilled
Research & Business Intelligence Specialist
to join a collaborative, curious, results driven team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on transforming data into insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and working closely with employee across an organization.

What You'll Do:


• Conduct and compile research on clients, prospects, markets, industries, and competitors using public sources, internal databases, and specialized research tools


• Analyze individuals, companies, transactions, and trends to produce clear, high-quality insights


• Execute recurring and ad-hoc intelligence requests, developing reports, summaries, and presentations


• Translate complex findings into concise, actionable deliverables


• Support opportunity identification and contribute to strategic account planning


• Assist with pitches, proposals, strategic initiatives, and research-driven projects


• Collaborate with key stakeholders, gathering information through interviews and cross-functional engagement


• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the organization's competitive intelligence resources


• Keep current with emerging market and competitive trends and share relevant updates


• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members


• Participate in projects and initiatives as needed

What You Bring:


• Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience


• Approximately 5 years of experience in research, business intelligence, competitive intelligence, analytics, or a related area (professional services experience is an asset but not required)


• Proficiency with at least two research platforms such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, PitchBook, or comparable industry tools


• Strong understanding of market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitive landscapes


• High proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel; SharePoint experience is a plus


• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey findings clearly and diplomatically at all levels


• Strong project management, organization, and multitasking abilities in high-pressure environments


• A resourceful approach to finding information and solving problems


• High attention to detail, analytical strength, and comfort working with complex data


• Sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion


• A proactive, hands-on mindset and drive for results


• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively


• Flexibility to work overtime when needed
