  • Optimize operations and production for ~50 SAGD well pairs, including improving reservoir conformance, designing producer/injector completions, managing ESP performance (run life, sizing/design, etc.), developing operating strategies (ESP setpoints, steam/gas injection rates, pressure targets), and ensuring data quality (well tests, operating data).
  • Design completions and operating strategies for new pads and wells
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Completions & Well Servicing, Operations, Process Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Geology) to identify and execute value-add opportunities .
  • Lead side projects or SME initiatives, such as automation projects, DTS or ESP strategy development, metering & well testing improvements, data science and visualization, well integrity management, source & disposal wells, and inactive well management.
  • Drive safe, efficient production while minimizing SOR within facility constraints.
  • Identify gaps and deliver strategic projects that support broader Production Engineering goals.

Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Degree or diploma in Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) accredited with APEGA/APEGS is considered an asset.

  • Experience with data manipulation, analytics, and visualization is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of SAGD reservoir operations or facilities processes is an asset.
  • Proven ability to learn new concepts quickly, apply creative problem solving, collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams, and thrive in ambiguity.

We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
