POSITION OVERVIEW- Lead the development of detailed construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for architectural projects.
- Oversee the coordination of all technical aspects of projects, ensuring that designs are properly translated into buildable and compliant construction documents.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery from design through to construction completion.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams on technical matters.
- Produce and oversee the production of high-quality, accurate construction drawings, plans, and details using advanced software such as Revit.
- Lead the development of detailed sections, elevations, and construction details to ensure that designs are fully documented and ready for construction.
- Ensure that all design solutions adhere to building codes, regulations, and industry standards, addressing complex technical issues as they arise.
- Develop and refine project specifications for materials, finishes, and construction techniques.
- Ensure that all designs and technical documentation comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
- Lead the preparation and submission of permit applications and other regulatory documents to the appropriate authorities.
- Stay informed about changes in building codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards, ensuring that all projects remain compliant.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and intermediate architectural technologists, supporting their professional growth and ensuring high standards of technical quality.
- Lead team meetings and project reviews, providing technical expertise and ensuring that all work adheres to the firm's standards.
- Establish and maintain high standards of quality across all technical work, ensuring that documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and fully aligned with the design intent.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure consistency and accuracy across all project deliverables.
- Review and approve the work of junior staff to ensure it meets project requirements and industry standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit for drafting and design.
- 8+ years of architectural production experience
- Expertise in preparing and reviewing detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction standards.
- Effective project management skills, including timeline and budget management.
- Experience in coordinating and integrating technical information with project teams and stakeholders.
