Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Corporate Accountant role located in Edmonton, AB. The Senior Corporate Accountant will manage corporate accounting activities, including preparing financial statements, overseeing month-end and year-end closings, reconciling accounts, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role includes performing financial analysis, supporting tax filings, and assisting with budget preparation and variance analysis. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Strong accounting and financial reporting skills, including experience in financial statement preparation and year-end closings.
  • Proven understanding of account reconciliation and financial analysis processes.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and tax filing requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems, with advanced skills in spreadsheet applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • CPA designation or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in corporate accounting or a similar role is an asset.
