We are currently seeking a Full-Time Senior Accountant whose duties will include some or all of the following:
Senior Accountant – Role Expectations
- Assistance with the compilation of year-end client financial statements;
- Assistance with the preparation of review engagement files and financial statements;
- Preparation of corporate and personal tax returns and assistance with related tax planning;
- Proactively ensuring that all client reporting and filing deadlines are identified and met;
- Performing general bookkeeping and data entry for our clients;
- Preparation of GST returns and payroll as required;
- Responding on a timely basis to client inquiries and requests;
- Working closely with clients to identify tax, financial reporting or other business challenges and assisting in implementing potential solutions;
- Assisting with general business matters as they arise;
- Assisting other staff members including junior staff on file preparation issues or other issues as needs may arise; and
- Working both independently and as a member of an engagement team.
The ideal candidate would have previous experience in public practice and would be willing to help out with whatever challenges may arise. As a diverse accounting practice our client needs are wide ranging and constantly changing. As a result the work will continually be new and challenging.
The position will commence as soon as a suitable candidate is found and is at our office on the south side of Edmonton.
