Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The candidate will have experience in a dental office setting and possess strong administrative skills. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and manage check-in and check-out processes
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar using Dentrix and electronic medical records systems
  • Answer multi-line phone systems, addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Process patient payments and insurance claims, verifying coverage as needed
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is required
  • Proficiency in Open Dental and familiarity with Epic or other electronic medical records systems is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Chinese-speaking would be an asset
  • A positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care
