Position Summary

The Paint Desk Associate / General Help supports daily store operations by assisting customers, mixing paint accurately, handling inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role requires physical capability, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mix and tint paint accurately using in-store tinting systems
  • Assist customers at the paint desk with product selection and basic technical questions
  • Receive, move, and stock paint and supplies (lifting 50 lbs or more)
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint desk, shelves, and work areas
  • Follow all store procedures, safety guidelines, and directions from management
  • Support general store duties as required (restocking, cleaning, assisting team members)

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in paint mixing or working with Benjamin Moore paint products
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more on a regular basis
  • Comfortable starting shifts at 7:00 AM
  • Able to take direction and follow procedures accurately
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Benjamin Moore products and systems (strong asset)
  • Previous retail or paint store experience
  • Customer service experience in a trade or retail environment

Employment Type

  • Full-time or Part-time (based on availability and business needs)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $34,400.00-$50,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week

  • Toronto, ON M5A 1S7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
