Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for clearing snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and other designated areas to ensure safe passage for vehicles and pedestrians during winter weather conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of snow removal equipment, as well as the ability to work in challenging weather conditions. This is a casual position based on snow fall. Position can possibly lead to summer season as well.

Responsibilities

  • Operate snow plow and other related equipment to clear snow and ice from various surfaces.
  • Maintain snow removal equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition before and after each use.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for effective snow removal and landscape maintenance as needed.
  • Perform basic mechanical tasks to troubleshoot and repair equipment when necessary.
  • Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and performing tasks in winter conditions.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts efficiently.

Experience

  • Proven experience operating snow plows or similar heavy machinery is preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge is a plus, with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays during winter storms.
