Work Where You Love to Play this winter Cypress Mountain is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators
and Snow Plow Drivers to join the team. The Snow Removal Department operates a variety of
equipment to maintain the road and parking lots during the winter months. Full-time and Part-time
positions are available and training is provided. We are looking for Snow Plow Drivers, Front End
Loader Operators, Excavator Operators, and Skid Steer Operators.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**(include but not limited to the following)**:**

Complete pre & post trip vehicle inspection booklet.

Summarize daily activities, report defects, and submit inspection and log sheets daily to shift
supervisor

Perform minor mechanical repairs and maintenance to equipment.

Identification and communication of maintenance needs.

Adhere to safe work procedures, operating procedures and safe work practices.

Follow designated routes and schedules.

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.

Maintain accurate records of millage, incident or accidents.

Complete pre & post trip vehicle inspection booklet.

Summarize daily activities, report defects, and submit inspection and log sheets daily to shift
supervisor.

Attend training sessions and meetings as required.

Operate snow removal equipment to clear and sand roads.

Perform other work as assigned duties.

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:**

High School or equivalent.

Previous snow removal experience an asset.

Previous experience operating heavy duty equipment an asset.

Aptitude for mechanical repairs and maintenance.

Previous work in a mountain environment an asset.

**QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:**

Excellent communication skills - in person and over the radio.

The ability to work in all weather conditions

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.

Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent driving skills.

Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25lbs.

Commitment to maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Flexibility to work shift work, holidays and overtime as required.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:**

Must be able to legally work in Canada.

Plow Trucks require a minimum Class 5 or Class 3 driver’s license with an air brake endorsement
(abstract required).

Loader/Grader/Skid Steer/Snow Blower require a Class 5.

Valid B.C. driver's license.

Clean driver’s abstract.

Insured and reliable vehicle to get to/from the mountain.

Reliable/insured transportation to get to/from work.

**WAGE/BENEFITS/PERKS:**

Wage: $25.50-27.50 depending on experience.
