The Neonatal Follow-Up Clinic is an Ambulatory Pediatric Clinic located within McMaster Children's Hospital. The clinic provides neurodevelopmental follow-up care to high-risk infants of newborn age to 3 years of age.
As a member of the healthcare team and using a family and child centered approach, the Occupational Therapist works collaboratively with the neonatal follow-up interdisciplinary team to provide OT services to high-risk infants from birth to 3 years of age. As a member of the developmental care team for preterm infants, the Occupational Therapist will provide\: Consultation, assessment and intervention to infants and children referred to the clinic; evidence-based clinical practice for children and their families; support and education to families regarding developmental, behavioural, and feeding related issues; liaison and referral to treatment centres and community services; knowledge-sharing of best practice and research.

1. Current Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
2. Minimum 2 years experience in a pediatric setting preferably in acute tertiary care within the last 3 years.
3. Demonstrated clinical expertise and specialized knowledge related to the health of the high-risk preterm infant and family.
4. Experience with diagnostic developmental evaluation and program planning in the neonatal follow-up population.
5. Experience in the evaluation and treatment of neonatal feeding and swallowing.
6. Knowledge, skills and abilities in occupational therapy assessment and interventions with pediatric patients and their families.
7. Knowledge of community services and children's treatment facilities.
8. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
