About the Role
As a
Financial Process Specialist
, you'll work closely with senior financial officers to review existing finance operations, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and implement streamlined solutions. You'll also coordinate with the company's SAP Centre of Excellence to improve process documentation, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Your work will directly support stronger financial governance and smoother audit readiness while helping the finance team operate with clarity and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior finance leaders to evaluate current financial workflows and design improvement strategies.
- Collaborate with the SAP Centre of Excellence to strengthen process documentation and compliance.
- Develop and maintain standardized procedures and best-practice guidelines for the finance function.
- Prepare and manage financial documentation to support reporting accuracy and audit requirements.
- Lead cross-functional efforts with Finance, IT, and Compliance teams to roll out process enhancements.
- Deliver training and mentoring to finance staff on new systems, tools, and procedures.
- Provide regular updates to management on progress, findings, and opportunities for improvement.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
. - CPA or CIA designation (asset).
- Experience in
financial reporting, analysis, or internal audit
. - Familiarity with
SAP or similar ERP systems
. - Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance, and process optimization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to lead change and collaborate across departments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
