1. Cook – African Cuisine

About the Role:

Join the award-winning Flavours Cuisine & Catering, Calgary's leading African restaurant, known for authentic West African and Nigerian dishes. We're seeking a skilled Cook who can bring passion and creativity to our busy kitchen.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn,Prepare and cook African meals such as jollof rice, egusi soup, suya, grilled meats, and other regional dishes
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • Assist with menu planning and recipe consistency
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience cooking African or international cuisine
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Able to work flexible shifts – days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Benefits:

2. Server – African Restaurant / Food & Beverage Attendant

About the Role:

We're also hiring professional Servers who love food, culture, and great service You'll represent the Flavours experience, serving our guests with warmth and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and seat guests, take orders accurately, and ensure prompt service
  • Share menu knowledge to help guests explore African dishes and drinks
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area
  • Handle cash and POS transactions responsibly
  • Work closely with kitchen and bar staff for smooth service

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' restaurant experience
  • Valid ProServe certification
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Team player who thrives in a high-volume environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic about hospitality
