Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada Cappa College Full time $20,000 - $32,000 per year

About Cappa College

Cappa College is part of a respected 40+ year Canadian education legacy, now entering its next phase of growth. Our mission is to deliver practical, career-focused education that helps newcomers, professionals, and adult learners build real skills, real portfolios, and real Canadian experience. We are growing existing trades programs, launching a new campus, and launching a new suite of high-demand business and technology programs. With plans to serve 1,000–2,000+ learners annually through flexible online and hybrid delivery, Cappa College is building the next generation of applied, job-ready education.

About You

You've managed Google and/or Meta ad accounts and you understand the nuances of lead generation: tracking, funnels, targeting, and creative. You bring an owner's mindset to your work: you want to build, test, optimize, and continuously improve campaigns that directly drive enrollments. You're comfortable working with founders and leadership, speaking in terms of ROI and CPL, and turning data into clear recommendations.

Position Summary

The Performance Marketing Specialist will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing Cappa College's paid advertising efforts across Google, Meta and TikTok platforms. You will own our paid traffic strategy, from campaign setup and tracking, to audience testing, creative iteration, and reporting. This role is part-time/contract and is ideal for a freelancer or specialist who wants to be a long-term growth partner as Cappa scales its programs, campuses, and learner base.

This is a part-time/contract hybrid role (8–20 hours/week), ideal for someone who wants to build strong practical skills across paid ads, content, and digital strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plan, build, and manage Google Ads campaigns (Search, Display, and Retargeting)
  • Plan, build, and manage Meta (Facebook/Instagram) campaigns for lead generation and retargeting
  • Set up and maintain clean tracking using GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Meta Pixel/Conversions API
  • Define and optimize conversion events (inquiries, form fills, bookings, applications)
  • Conduct ongoing keyword, audience, and creative testing to reduce cost per lead and improve lead quality
  • Create and iterate on ad copy and simple ad creatives (static, carousel, and short-form video; Canva or similar tools acceptable)
  • Monitor performance weekly and make data-driven optimizations to budgets, bids, audiences, and placements
  • Collaborate on landing page and funnel improvements to increase conversion rates
  • Produce clear, actionable weekly and monthly reports on campaign performance, insights, and next steps
  • Provide strategic recommendations for future campaigns, seasonal pushes, and new program launches
  • Other tasks related to digital performance and growth as required

What We're Looking For:

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience managing paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and/or TikTok Ads.
  • Proven experience managing lead-generation campaigns, ideally in education, service-based, or high-intent conversion industries.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Meta Pixel/CAPI setup and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing funnels, attribution, UTMs, and performance KPIs (CPL, CPA, ROAS, CTR, CVR).
  • Experience using Canva or similar tools to create simple performance-driven ad creatives.
  • Experience producing performance dashboards and reports using Google Analytics, Google Ads reporting, or other BI tools.

  • Expertise in creating and optimizing campaigns across Google Search, Display, and Retargeting.

  • Strong ability to build and manage Meta lead-generation and retargeting campaigns.
  • Skilled in audience testing, keyword research, and creative experimentation.
  • Ability to set up, verify, and maintain accurate tracking, events, and conversions.
  • Strong data-analysis skills, including interpreting campaign metrics and making data-backed optimizations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot tracking issues, pixel discrepancies, tagging errors, and low-conversion funnel points.
  • Ability to write effective, conversion-oriented ad copy.
  • Capability to design and iterate on simple ad creatives (static images, carousels, short-form videos).
  • Understanding of what makes creative effective for TikTok, Meta, and Google Display.
  • Strong understanding of customer journey, funnels, and enrollment/lead flows.
  • Ability to develop campaign strategies, seasonal plans, and recommendations for new program launches.
  • Ability to identify bottlenecks, analyze performance trends, and present clear insights.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for reporting and cross-team collaboration.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and comfortable operating independently in a part-time/contract environment.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, test new ideas, and iterate based on results.
