**Job Title: Talent & Safety Specialist**
- _______________________________

**Company Name**: Canoco Energy Services
**Location**: Fort Saskatchewan, AB

**About Us**:
At Canoco Energy Services, we specialize in turnarounds, asset management, fabrication and construction projects, driven by a strong commitment to safety, quality, and a ‘we care’ culture. As our **Talent & Safety Specialist**, you’ll play a key role in supporting our workforce by assisting with recruitment, safety administration, and internal communications. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, organized individual who enjoys variety, is eager to learn, and wants to grow with us.

**About the Role**:
This is a **dynamic, entry-level role** that shifts with the seasons—during peak project hiring, you’ll focus on recruiting skilled workers, and during slower periods, you’ll support safety initiatives, assist with marketing and internal communications, and take on administrative tasks. You’ll wear multiple hats, making this an ideal position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a mix of responsibilities.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Recruitment & Talent Support**:

- Assist with **high-volume hiring** for project-based roles, primarily in trades, labor, and administrative positions.
- Support onboarding by ensuring new hires have completed their required documents and training.

**Safety Administration**:

- Help track and organize safety tickets, certifications, and compliance documents.
- Support the implementation of **health & safety initiatives** across the company.
- Assist with safety-related communications, toolbox talks, and record-keeping.
- Maintain accurate logs for safety meetings and compliance reporting.

**Marketing & Communications Assistance**:

- Assist with **company branding, social media, and recruitment marketing** to attract talent.
- Help coordinate internal employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
- Contribute to newsletters, company updates, and digital content creation.

**General Administration & Support**:

- Provide administrative support across multiple departments.
- Assist in maintaining company records and organizing files.
- Take on additional HR, safety, and office coordination tasks as needed.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Enthusiastic, self-motivated individual** eager to grow and take on new challenges.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Some familiarity with **recruiting, safety, or office administration** is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person.
- Local to the **Greater Edmonton / Fort Saskatchewan area**.

**Why Join Us?**
- **Full-time, permanent position** (40-44 hours/week, Monday to Friday).
- **Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 per year**, depending on experience.
- **Benefits package**, including dental care, extended health care, and life insurance.
- A collaborative team environment where you’ll be valued and supported.
- Opportunities to learn and develop skills in recruitment, safety, marketing, and HR.

This role is **perfect for someone early in their career who wants to grow in HR, safety, or business operations** while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-moving industry.
