RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress
  • General and/or finishing carpentry duties as assigned
  • Read and understand blueprints, designs and plans
  • Work with subcontractors, other carpenter's and project manager's to accomplish project goals
  • Perform additional duties as needed

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Sound knowledge of all aspects of residential construction
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to find solutions
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining JSB's high standards of quality and craftmanship
  • Sound knowledge of all aspects of residential construction
  • Ability to prioritize different tasks and utilize time management skills
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Able to work as a group or individually as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid G level driver's license with clean abstract is an asset
  • Capable of standing, bending and lifting for extended periods
  • 5+ years experience in residential construction an asset
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

* Wages are negotiable and will be based on experience *

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 44 per week
