Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Plumber to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a solid understanding of mechanical systems, the ability to read schematics, and proficiency in using various power tools. The Journeyperson Plumber will work on diverse projects, ensuring that all plumbing installations meet industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
  • Utilize power tools and welding equipment to complete plumbing tasks efficiently.
  • Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and HVAC technicians, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while on the job site.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a plumber with a valid Journeyman/Journeywoman license.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
  • Experience in building structures or working alongside carpenters is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems is beneficial but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
  • Proficient in the use of power tools and welding equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 50 per week

Licence/Certification:

  • Class G Licence (preferred)
