Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, construction, and maintenance, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The Journeyperson Plumber will work closely with project managers and other trades to deliver high-quality workmanship efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and schematics
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and repairs
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to complete tasks efficiently
  • Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper assembly of plumbing components within building frameworks
  • Troubleshoot plumbing problems using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills
  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

  • Valid Journeyperson Plumber license or certification
  • Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance within construction or industrial settings
  • Strong mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, carpentry, welding, and schematics reading
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installation processes
  • Knowledge of construction practices related to plumbing systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and working in confined spaces
