As a company in the process of expanding our team, we are looking for an Accountant to contribute to our continued growth and success.

Overview:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day corporate and project-related accounting functions. This role offers potential for rapid career progression within a small, dynamic team. Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant's responsibilities will include:

·      Process full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice coding, matching, and vendor reconciliation.

·      Manage subcontractor draw applications, payment schedules, and vendor communication.

·      Ensure timely vendor payments and prepare regular bank and credit card reconciliations.

·      Prepare monthly financial reports, and cash flow tracking as needed.

·      Price check against approved agreements and set up payment schedules.

·      Support funding and contract reporting, including lender compliance and year-end audit.

·      Coordinate invoice approvals and collaborate across teams to resolve accounting issues.

·      Aid Controller with system conversion requirements

·      Improve accounting processes and provide administrative support as needed.

Qualifications/Experience:

·      Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

·      Minimum 2 years of full cycle accounting experience, including construction accounts payable, preferably in real estate development or construction

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills; experience with Yardi is an asset

·      Excellent communication, organization, and data entry skills with superior attention to detail

·      Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

·      Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and schedules
