Accounts Receivable / Payroll Clerk

Location: Edmonton, AB (Onsite)

Salary: $60,000 – $65,000 per year

Schedule: Monday–Thursday (8:00am–5:00pm), Friday (8:00am–4:00pm)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Receivable / Payroll Clerk to join their Edmonton office. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and can communicate effectively across all levels of staff, clients, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
  • Prepare and issue invoices, record payments, and manage accounts receivable functions
  • Reconcile payroll and AR accounts, resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
  • Provide support to staff regarding payroll inquiries
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams in a professional manner
  • Assist with general accounting and administrative duties as needed

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in payroll and accounts receivable
  • Strong understanding of accounting and payroll principles
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to take direction well and learn quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple priorities
