Marketing Coordinator

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager this position will play a key role in the execution of The Brick's advertising initiatives. Working closely with all internal and external team members you will be responsible for collecting, collaborating and reviewing all advertising and marketing materials. You will also be responsible for PO creation and any additional accounting duties. You have a strong attention to detail, the ability to take initiative and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Marketing team on an advertising strategy that's flexible depending on current business and market trends.
- Contribute to The Brick's annual campaign strategy and update promotional advertising calendars for The Brick, BMS and Outlet.
- Provide ideas for new and exciting in-store/online promotions that keep the customer top of mind.
- Collaborate with our buying team to collect "paginations" prior to production deadlines. This is the promotional and product information needed to create flyers, TV spots, radio spots, digital advertising etc.
- Interact with external and internal clients to deliver The Brick's message in marketing materials including print, broadcast and in store collateral.
- Continuously review advertising materials to ensure a consistent message across media channels and decrease any errors.
- Work with designers, writers, editors, and other creative staff to produce marketing collateral in accordance with company and brand standards.
- Work with accounting and the management team on monthly accounting duties including PO creation, and advertising account management to make sure we are on budget and organized.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on competitor activities; make recommendations based on findings/opportunities discovered.
- Other related duties and projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Your number one strength is strong attention to detail and solid listening skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including previous experience in reviewing advertising materials.
- Highly effective time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills to meet strict deadlines.
- The desire to learn more and dedication to move ahead.
- Superior organizational skills.
Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration or relevant workplace experience considered an asset.
- Experience in creating and executing successful Marketing programs.
- Knowledge of marketing channels including TV, flyer, radio, events, out-of-home, digital etc.
- Prior knowledge or experience in accounting, budgeting, and accounts payable.
- Bilingual in English and French considered an asset.
