Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist

This is a full time on-site role for a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist at Danton Medical Centers in OAKVILLE, ON .The role involves various day-to-day tasks related to medical assisting and phlebotomy to support the healthcare team.
Job Requirements:
- Answering phone calls, voicemails and calling patients back
- Take patient vitals including height, weight, blood pressure, blood sugar.
- Inputting patient vital information in Accuro EMR.
- Exam room set up, maintenance and organization.
- Cleaning of rooms after each patient.
- Performing phlebotomy when needed.
- Preparing patients before drawing blood.
- Explaining blood draw procedures to patients and answering any questions about the process.
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Medical Assisting, Medical Terminology, and Medical Office skills
- Patient Care and Medical Records management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a medical setting is beneficial
Requirement: Professional certification in phlebotomy from an Accredited Canadian Phlebotomy institute
ACCURO EMR experience is a bonus
Monday-Saturday
Must be able to work some Saturdays
