Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Gelato & Coffee Shop Assistant Supervisor to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality food and beverage offerings. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in food service or restaurant management, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Previous experience with POS systems such as Micros POS, barista skills, and restaurant or hotel experience are highly desirable.

Duties

  • Supervise daily shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and serving to maintain quality standards
  • Manage cash handling and POS transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar systems
  • Lead, train, and motivate team members to achieve operational goals and uphold food safety standards
  • Assist with interviewing potential new hires
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, serving area
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints professionally, and ensure a positive guest experience
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
  • Uphold hospitality standards consistent with the brand's reputation

Requirements

  • Proven supervising or team management experience in food service or restaurant environments
  • Experience operating POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Knowledge of food handling regulations and safety standards
  • Previous barista experience is a plus
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently

Pay: $18.50-$19.40 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 42 per week
