Job SummaryThe Cabinetmaker will work both within the Cabinet Shop and out in the field on job sites. The worker will be involved with multiple projects at once, as required by the Cabinet Shop Manager and dictated by our volume of business. They will work with a team of Cabinetmakers and help them develop with our established system, as well as bring a positive influence to the group. Lastly, the Cabinetmaker will be reporting to Cabinet Shop Supervisor and Cabinet Shop Manager.
Responsibilities- Detaching, installing, and building new cabinets, specifically, kitchen cabinets
- Lifting heavy materials required for completing the job
- Being able to draw and construct new builds
- Being able to measure, draw, layout, create a scope of work accurately
- Demonstrating skill in the safe operation of shop tools such as a table saw, shaper, router, paint sprayer, edge-banding machine
- Reinforcing and trimming joints using nails or screws
- Following all company policies and standards, including Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Practicing good housekeeping on the job and in the warehouse
- Having the creativity and adaptiveness to work at different job sites routinely
- Displaying good manners and attitude toward property owners, occupants of the property, co-workers, and sub-contractors
- Being a teaching resource for cabinetmaker apprentices to help with their development
- Maintaining professionalism with co-workers, homeowners, and clients
- Collecting and preparing materials necessary to complete a job
- Identifying problems or barriers to finishing the project on time.
- Meeting timeline expectations required by the customer and project manager
- Willing to reasonably go above and beyond the scope of a job when necessary
- Completing your timecard daily
- Completing DARs daily.
- Red Seal certified Cabinetmaker or equivalent amount of experience
- 5+ years of experience in the cabinetmaking industry
- Experience in the restoration industry is considered an asset
- Experience working in millwork and or carpentry is considered an asset
- Must have own hand and standard tools
- Works well alone and with others
- Must be able to lift over 50-pound equipment and materials
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Possess a valid driver's license and vehicle
- Participate in the "On-Call" rotation

Compensation
- Wage: $ $37.00 per hour (based on experience)
