The role of the Systems & Solutions Specialist is to support all of Wurth Canada's systems and solutions (ORSYmat, ORSYkanban RFID solutions, ORSY connect) in the assigned region. They provide support and training to Wurth Canada's customers and sales team by accompanying sales representatives and key account managers on customer visits and virtual meetings. The Systems & Solutions Specialist's primary responsibilities are to assist and create customized experiences that motivate and facilitate the customer's day-to-day tasks, provide technical support to Wurth Canada's sales representatives, while supporting the division's market strategies.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Track the sales pipeline created by the sales team, reporting and updating the project implementation pipeline.
  • Identify, evaluate and select quality potential customers in collaboration with the line manager and through on-the-ground support.
  • Participate in monthly regional/district meetings to contribute to new and existing Systems and Solutions projects in collaboration with the Key Account Manager (KAM) and Systems and Solutions team.
  • Travel within the assigned region for meetings, visits to customers and prospects (accompanying customers in the field, making own visits, participating in trade shows, trainings, presentations, etc.) (4 days in the field per week).
  • Resolves customer complaints in collaboration with the appropriate management by analyzing issues, developing solutions, writing reports and making recommendations to management.
  • Provide project management for all new Systems and Solutions programs deployed at customers to ensure a smooth implementation, in collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be present at the customer's site on the day of installation to support the sales team and train the customer on Wurth Canada's Systems and Solutions.
  • Provide technical support for machines and Internet connection. Configure the machines with the manufacturer and install the router as required.
  • Train sales representatives on the use of the machines and the functionalities of the different units.
  • Replace defective parts, such as motherboards, coil motors, door locks, power supplies, etc.
  • Changing machine configurations, such as converting single spiral locations to double spiral locations. Install dual gears and order the appropriate spirals for the new configuration.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Vocational training, certificate or diploma in inventory management and/or relevant experience in procurement.
  • Three years of experience as a Field Support Technician is required; Experience in industrial, mechanical or technical maintenance is ideal.
  • Frequent travel (80%) within the assigned area.
  • This position requires physical activity and constant dexterity.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems (programming) of industrial systems.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation, diagrams, and schematics to diagnose and resolve equipment problems.
  • Previous experience in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of e-procurement is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with technical and non-technical users.
  • Experience in hands-on training and demonstrations to explain system operation, troubleshooting processes, and maintenance procedures.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Great ability to learn and adapt to new requirements and processes.
  • Autonomous and dynamic, able to manage conflicting priorities and pressure.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Bilingualism in French and English
