Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position involves assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during examinations and dental procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are readily available.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring cleanliness according to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage patient records using dental software to ensure accurate documentation of treatments and patient history.
  • Provide support in orthodontic procedures, pediatric dentistry, and other specialized treatments as needed.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Schedule appointments and manage front desk duties as a dental receptionist when required.
  • Maintain knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.

Skills

  • Proficiency in dental assisting with hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
  • Familiarity with dental software systems such as Epic and Dentrix is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of orthodontics and pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dental care.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, and team members.
