About Potash

The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon.  BHP's CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment in the Jansen project will deliver a potash mine in Saskatchewan designed to maximize sustainability. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan's history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles.

Jansen's construction will take place over several years with first production planned for mid-2027. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages. About the Graduate Program

The 24-month graduate program focuses on developing, engaging, managing change and achieving results. It's a balanced approach to technical and professional development to ensure you have well-rounded capabilities. This will be the cornerstone of your BHP Career.

Graduates will rotate into different teams 2-4 times, to help build technical capabilities, working relationships with new people and leadership skills. You'll be guided by our leaders as you work on real projects, offering accelerated learning and career path opportunities. Near the end of the program, you'll be provided the choice to stay in the same commodity or seek opportunities elsewhere in BHP to demonstrate all that you have learnt.

About the Role

To be considered, you will need:

A post-secondary degree obtained within the last two years or be eligible for graduation by May/June 2026 in the following disciplines:

•    Geological Engineering 

•    Geotechnical Engineering 

•    Mechanical Engineering 

•    Chemical Engineering 

•    Electrical Engineering 

•    Process Engineering 

•    Mining Engineering 

•    Environmental Engineering

•    Civil Engineering

Work Location

This position will be based in Saskatoon. The associated work schedule will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.

BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required. Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home finding trip and a resettlement allowance.

About You

•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

•    Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

•    Previous experience in a construction or engineering environment is a plus
