We are seeking a Part-Time Math Teacher who is passionate about helping students strengthen their understanding of key math concepts and improve their academic performance. The position will provide individualized or small-group instruction to high school students, supporting courses aligned with the Ontario Curriculum (Grades 9–12).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions for high school math students.
  • Implement differentiated instructional strategies to meet diverse student learning needs.
  • Reinforce classroom learning by reviewing key topics such as algebra, functions, trigonometry, and calculus.
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing constructive feedback and study recommendations.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff to ensure consistent academic support.
  • Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters student confidence and engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience tutoring or teaching high school math (Grades 9–12).
  • Strong understanding of the Ontario Mathematics Curriculum (e.g., MPM2D, MCR3U, MHF4U, MCV4U).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
  • Ability to tutor both in-person and/or online (depending on schedule and student needs).
